Re: Thinking about going on another Rescue Mission
i wonder if forming a 'society' thing is such a bad idea? after all the rspca and sspca had to start somewhere? i wouldnt mind and lets face it the animal societies dont seem to bother with fishes welfare. ''its only a fish''
it does lok a bit like whitespot, and i know from personal experience that not all the meds work all the time. try using aquarium salt and raising the temperature. not sure how this works for goldfish but im sure someone will be along soon to help.
can now update this post to 'new tank, cichlids definately spawning!'
we watched them for ages today, mr big white o.b and mrs pale yellow lab. he was quite keen on one of the red zebras as well but i think it must be a little young for him as it just looked confused! he tried it on with everyone including the catfish until he realised theyre the wrong species!
i know they'll be hybrids etc but im well chuffed, esp as i saw the whole thing!
i have 2, one girl one boy, added today. boy is 2 times size of girl. boy fancies girl. girl not into it as having 'fat day' (ready to shed). boy insists. much to-ing and fro-ing later girl and boy are done. however they've left a patch (small) of blood on the substrate. is this normal/ok? never happened with the other male.
i'll admit to eating the paper round the starburst. not all the time though. i never had weird cravings, but when i was pregnant with the last one i went off bananas. they made me sick. now i just crave cichlids, but im not pregnant...
