IMO put the hydrometer in the bin and get yourself a refractometer.Far more accurate and consistent.

It sounds like its suffering from "bleaching".I wil refrain from'gueswork'aquatics and if you dont get a good,accurate diagnosis and suggestion for your problem here,go to a specialised site ie.UltimateReef.com.

I had no problems with fitments and fixings so I feel that you must have had some duff bits in the model that you purchaced.Stuff for the next model up maybe............
Seios = great flow and low running costs = happy fishkeeper.....

Nothing wrong with Seio's,they are dam good circulators and one of the best value for money.

It takes a while to get used to crabs and shrimp moults with all the bits floating about looking like a dead thing,while your pride and joy is sat around the back hideing until its new armour hardens up.

Bristleworm's are good new's in a reef set up. One of the best in the clean up crew.I wish that I had more of them in my tank.....

You should be able to buy Zebra Danios already aclamatised to temperate water temperatures from your LFS.
