Bloated BN plec #33
Hi all have just gone round giving everyone there tea and found 1 of my BN plecs is massively bloated. Normally she doesn't come out and about till after lights out so it's not unusual to not see her from one day to the next. But shes just sitting on top of the the bogwood looking like she's about to burst. Have tested the water and all is good there ammonia 0 nitrite 0 nitrate 10/20. She normally gets algae waffers 1 day veggies the next. Is there anything i can do for her?

Re: Spot's not looking too perky #34
Hi again suey. Nope no other symptoms at all except for the white poo and 2 raised scales on spot. There still being boisterous eating like its going out of fashion just being there normal selves. Think maybe do there usual WC tomorrow then just feed them peas for a few days and carry on with the esha for a bit longer see if i can get there tummys back to normal. Don't us fish parents worry Thanks for the advice as always. Lisa

Re: Spot's not looking too perky #35
Hi suey sorry for the late reply. I started with the esha 2000 on the 21st so have been putting the meds in for 6 days now. All the readings are good Am 0 nitrite 0 nitrate 20. They are due for another WC on sunday. How long should i keep going with the esha? He does look a little better today and the 2 raised scales seem to be flatter against his body but 1 of the others now has white poo. Sorry i can't post any pics at the mo. Thanks lisa

Re: Spot's not looking too perky #36
Noticed just now that spot has another raised scale and still has white stringy poo. He's still his usual self begging for food as i write. So what would be the best plan of attack? Give him a few more days on the esha 2000 or try something else? Thanks for any advice Lisa

I'm such a sucker..............for a pretty betta! #37
Well i thought it was about time i got my act together and plant up my balcony pots with some lovely geraniums for the summer. Little did i know that on a visit out to bicester avenue(never been there before) they have a world of water store. Whoo hoo lisa the kid in the sweety shop time, so after ditching the parents i was off to gaze longingly at the fish when WHAM i saw him. His beautiful halfmoon fins in the most lovely peach/coral colouring with lilac on his fins close to his body. He gave me a little shimmy and that was it LOVE. So Aroon as he has now been named (means dawn in thai) is now flaring at his new tank mate a rugged BN plec (Boy named mitch) in the QT tank.

Spot's not looking too perky #39
Hi guys just after a bit of advice with spot my 12 yr old single tail. He's been bloated and had stringy white poo for a few weeks so i thought he may be constipated. So i starved him for 3 days fed only peas for 3 days. But he was still the same so i gave him a course of melafix (finished yesterday) and he,s still no better. Got up this morning and he's got a couple of raised scales and is yawning quite a bit. Going to do a 50% WC and stick some carbon in the filter. I do have esha 2000 so should i try him on a course of that? Thank you for any advice in advance Lisa
