Re: Dopey #35
Hi,

I've been using JBL Aqudur to boost KH after after August's ph disaster. Also we are on the third day of Melafix.

KH is now 40
and
GH is 180

Nitrite is reading 0.8!!! ???

Temp before heater was 20 degrees

Cheers

Dopey #36
Hi all,
Pingpong has been at the bottom and in the corner of the tank for a few days, today the other fish have been a bit doppy but all were eating food. Tonight all my fish have eaten very little. Tested water as follows :-

Ammonia 0
Ph test 7.5
Nutrafin nitrate test undecipherable.

Did a 30% weekly water change as usual yesterday & added heater set to 22 degrees this evening.

Any ideas please?

Re: Evidence that crustaceans can feel pain #38
My cherry shrimp rear up and warn off the WCMMs which indicates to me that they have a level of self awareness and fear (?). They must be distressed when used as feeders so it's a no no as far as I'm concerned.

Re: New home needed for single whitecloud mountain minnow #40
Well I'm nr Tamworth so Crewe, Nantwich etc are only an hour away. Chester or Wirral are a more of a pain tbh. Happy to meet halfway?
