As its a new fish it may have been iffy when you bought it, you can't always tell when its in the shop and transporting them home/putting them in a new tank etc. does cause a lot of stress on top of it all. You still haven't told us your water readings/set up or other tank mates so assuming that all OK you could just try and add some melafix, this is a mild all-natural botanical remedy... I use it each time I add new fish as a precaution, the fish isn't acting normal though so there is something wrong, id keep a close eye on him for any other signs of illness if u don't have an airstone make sure your filter is breaking the waters surface... you could also try and tempt him to eat with some live food if u can get hold of it - I hope hes OK
As you boiled the bogwood this should have killed any nasties on it.
Sounds like this is a new fish, how long have you had the fish and what else has been added to the tank recently? Do you quarantine? Is there an air stone in the tank? Any signs of illness - bloating, sticky out scales, gasping any rot or fungus - have you seen it poo recently, if so what was it like?
What do u have in your set up? Have you tested your water for all the usual suspects which could be making the Ram act that way? Was the tank matured before you added the fish... sorry if these are basic questions not sure how experienced you are
I like fireworks but its not firework night! Im fine with them being let off fireworks night or the nearest weekend to it or new years eve... I can expect it then and get my animals in... but we have had them going off round here for weeks already!
