help quick! #261841
I have had four fantails for a week now so am very new to this fish-keeping business! I am very very worried about them as the water has turned cloudy very quickly and they are becoming less active. I set up the tank two weeks before getting them to allow for bacteria to establish. The tank is 45 x 40 x 30cm, has an undergravel filter and pump. I am feeding them 2-3 times a day with a small amount that is eaten within 2 mins as advised...please help! I don't want them to die but can't think of anything else to do!!! I think one of them may have whitespot due to this problem, it has a white film on its fins and tails...please help!!

Such pretty snails. Have you been keeping/breeding snails for long?

Re: Eye loss #261845
Hello Phil and welcome to fishkeeping I am not really certain why fish lose their eyes but I have heard of it before and the fish in question lived happily One problem though can be cloudy eyes which is normally down to bad water conditions, Can I ask if you test your water at all also did you cycle your tank before adding any fish or with fish, if you didn't cycle it first then that maybe the reason this has happened

Eye loss #261846
Hello

One of my goldfish has been acting as if it has gone blind for quite some time and I have now noticed that both its eyes have disappeared. The other fish appear to be fine. There are no other obvious signs of disease in the affected fish, although it is smaller than the others and has lost all its pigment. Any idea what may have caused this and is it likely to be infectious?

Thanks Phil
