Hi Coralline thanks for the swift reply Can you get something to put in the baskets like hessian to stop any soil leaking into the pond as am just a bit worried about it making the pond murky the plants I have are an iris some small lilies one with red leaf's and one with green leaf's the other 2 I have I am not sure what they are one is quite tall roughly 3 feet and the flowers look like buttercups but slightly bigger the other maybe another type of lily green leafs but more like kind of a long heart shaped leaf regards brian

Hi all I want to know what is the best way to plant plants in my pond in containers ... do I need special soil ?...what do I use to stop the soil leaking into the pond ?... and do the containers have to have holes in them like the ones you can buy especially for ponds with all the holes in them regards brian

Hi Dave thanks for the advice I know what you mean as to the pond being in constant day light as you say one of the best things is lots of hard word the pond really hasn't been up and running that long and I am slowly adding plants that I know will also make a difference to algae is it Hydra Pond Clear Plus that you are thinking about regards brian
