not really sure but i was always led to believe you didnt want freshly skimmed water through a fuge because is ripped out all the organics that the fuge feeds on

without seeing plans its hard to tell but the design doesnt have to be complicated wood is supprisingly strong! 6 upright supports in 2 x 3 will be more than adequate for a 4 footer

wouldnt use wood myself what you want is food industy nylon rods for panelling coldstores nylon 66 is foodsafe (thus reefsafe) in natural plastic

a rough guide is 1 litre of water weighs 1kg thaen you need to work out your rocks and decor it'l be pretty heavy. timber frame with 2" supports should be fine

plastics need to be food safe i think they are marked PP or PE for that although i could be wrong on the codes, for overheating but a clip on fan and direct it towards the surface of the water with the hood off its about the only way of cooling without a chiller oh i wouldnt bother covering the heater things normally get of if it gets to hot

to be honest unless the tanks deeper than 24" then id stick with 150w halides over 250w ive seen both over my tank and theres no diffrence 150's seem to drop off at 24" jmo

thats perfectly normal it'l take time for them to host anything even then theres no way of getting them to host your nem mine still sleep in the sand after digging their depression every night but host a branching hammer during the day!
