Re: Video of clowns and plec feeding #23
lol, yep cucumber. There were 3 slices in the tank and they ate it all within 3 hours!

I've had lots of people say he's quite scary, but he's lovely!!!

He's getting a temper in his old age though. He'll knock rocks down and take a hit at some of the bigger loaches in the tank if they disturb him

Re: need help with sick goldfish #25
To be honest i've never heard of quickfix. I would stick to treating with the melafix.

The losing scales can be due to parasites in the water and doing the daily water changes should help with it.

Re: need help with sick goldfish #26
don't worry, lots of people don't realise, my little brother brought home a goldfish yesterday with intention of keeping it in an oreo biscuit jar!

Any other questions?

Re: need help with sick goldfish #27
Firstly i'd do a water change as Fishy said. Use dechlorinated water.

If you didn't cycle the tank then this is probably causing most of the fishes problems.

If you can get to a pet shop asap and get a water testing kit it will help. Try and get a liquid kit rather than strips as they are more accurate.

Keep doing a water change (about 10%) each day until the water reading improve.

If you can get some Melafix from your pet shop then also treat the tank with that. Hopefully that will help.
