Re: feeding question ? #22
Hi Fishlady,

I bought some of the Apistogramma and on the Seriously Fish site it says that I should feed them them regularly live or frozen foods, I currently only have blood worms. does the same thing apply for them? should I buy some alternative frozen foods?

I've tried feeding them cichlid floating pellets but even the mini pellets I have seem to be too big (hikari cichlid gold)even when i try to cut them up a bit.
Best Regards

Anyone recommend a manual syphon? #23
Hi all,

I've changed to a sand substrate now so I'm going to be selling my trusty eheim vac. Anyone recommend a good manual One?
Best Regards

Re: Battery powered gravel vac #24
Hi,

I have the eheim vac, I've now changed to sand so I'll be selling it if your interested? It's only about 3 months old so will still have the warranty on it etc.

I still have the box and everything that came with it too.
Best Regards

Re: new tank mates #26
Thanks again.

presumably if I end up with 2 males I would just have to rehome him?
my final question I promise - from what I've read the rams are quite shy and like a dimmed light. How do I achieve this, the light I have is a t8 20watts white light.

I though about getting the blue light bit then I thought that the plants I will have could die?

Re: new tank mates #27
Thanks fishlady.

do the leaves disappear on there own or do they last forever and how many should I pit into my tank?

I'm going to get a pair of the apistogrammer, I also want some rams too. How many females rams should I get with the male?
Best Regards

Re: new tank mates #28
Thanks fishlady they look amazing, just what I'm after. Think ill get the rams and then a pair of them. Would I have room for another different pair after both of thoose? I'll obviously add them over a long period though not all together.

Where can I get leaves for the tank from, I've read that this species likes them but I've never even seen any fore sale.

Re: new tank mates #29
Thanks fish lady.

if I go with the rams to start if I get 1 male and 2 females would that be ok and would I then be able to get another pair of the species you suggested? I'll google the species you suggested as I have no idea what they are! lol

new tank mates #30
Hi guys,

I've upgraded my tank to a 125 litre tank so I've been looking at some colourful new arrivals. I've been looking at Bolivian rams, would these be ok with what I already have? If not what else would go? I don't really want shoal of small fish.

Thanks in advance
Best Regards
