Re: Advice on new tank #21
Do the strapping rugby players come free with the Aqua One tanks, because I didn't get any with the Juwel tank I just bought.
My tank is 350l, so I should be due about 4, if not 5 rugby players. Was I a box short on my delivery?
Also, can anyone tell me if the offer is only on strapping rugby players or can you choose burly firemen instead?
Anyone got the customer services number for Juwel?

Re: I'm selling a tank... #23
That's a shame. I do want it to go to a good home too.
I'm keeping my other one incase of emergency/Ever hopeful that I'll be allowed it back in the house and stocked....but that's very doubtful!!
Apparently I have enough with the 2 tanks I have up and running now.

Re: Fantails at the top of the tank #25
I got one of the tetratec aps range like this...

http://www.aquaessentials.co.uk/index ... ucts_id=3673¤cy=GBP

not sure if these are the cheapest but they came up on google first.

I have the 100 model and it did both of my 100l tanks as it has 2 outlets.
I wondered if I'd need a bigger one for the depth of my new tank, but it creates a nice gentle bubble wall in there, driving one of the long airstones-as you can see in my fb photos.

I'm selling a tank... #26
Hi guys.
I didn't think of advertising on here first, but I'm selling one of my 3 foot tanks as I've upgraded to a biiiiig tank!
I put it on eBay earlier today, the item number is 320476035158.
If anyone is looking for a cheap 3foot tank (approx 106litres) with hood, lights and gravel then have a look.
Ebay auction runs out next Sunday.

Re: Fantails at the top of the tank #27
Does the airpump have 2 outlets on it?
If it does then simply attach another tube to it and run it to the other tank.
I'm sure my tetratec air pump was nowhere near as expensive as that, so you could pick one up if necessary for MUCH less than ?50.

Re: Water Pump. #28
Smileyshaz, I do believe you've just sold me a Waterbutt pump!!
Thankyou for that link. That looks perfect. I have a 90l storage box that will hold the water from the tap and a combi boiler so I can get the water to the right temperature.
The pump will be perfect I think for getting the water from the bathroom to my tank.
Thanks so much everyone.

Re: Nitrate Levels #29
I totally agree with the other guys.
I have a 350litre tank with 5fantails in and I wouldn't want any more of then in there. They are not fully grown yet, but when they are there'll not be any room for more fish.
I hate it when stores give bad advice...it happens all the time and happened to me when I started fishkeeping. Grrrr.

Re: Fantails at the top of the tank #30
I agree. I'd add an airstone too. They don't cost very much, look quite pretty and it would eliminate the lack of oxygen option. I always have them in my tanks as they are in a warm lounge ans as I understand it, the warmed the water the more need for more air going through the water.
