Re: Tank photos #121
Looking good :)
I personally don't go for the ornament wrecks and plastic ect in my tanks but you have made it work rather well :)

Re: Snails climbing on each other's back #122
Yeh they do that a lot apparently, my partner conducted both her undergraduate dissertation and her current postgraduate work on lymnaea stagnalis and was forever peeling them apart!

Re: starting a salt water fish tank need info though? #123
I will tell you what I say to everyone starting on their marine adventure.
I find that books by Martin A Moe are my bible when it comes to marine systems, both for setting up and trouble shooting.
the marine aquarium ref is the one I favour,
http://www.amazon.co.uk/The-Marine-Aq ... 8-8&keywords=martin+A+moe
and I have the old edition of this newer one, the new one is a bit more wishy washy but have a look anyway
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Marine-Aquari ... 8-1&keywords=martin+A+moe
These two books have been used by myself and collegues at Plymouth University and the National marine aquarium for years now and are useful for all shapes and sizes :)
happy keeping

Re: Breeding Archocentrus spilurum ( Blue eye cichlid) #125
So, I have put in quite a bit of bogwood, but no really flat-ish surfaces, do you recon they will do it on that?

Breeding Archocentrus spilurum ( Blue eye cichlid) #126
My two Blue eyes are showing typical mating behaviour and nest building.
I was wondering if anyone had any experience with this species before and could give me some tips?
Thanks
