I've been looking at the Oase Aquamax pumps and it seems that the 2000 would be the most likely candidate, although does the 3500 have an adjustable flow-rate so that I can reduce it? I can't find that information anywhere. The "head" for my pond set-up is one metre. The thing I'm struggling with is the filter, to pluck a couple of examples from the internet: the Hozelock Ecopower + 2500, does this pump water back up to the pond? Is the flow rate of the pump what governs the flow rate of the filter? Is it big enough form my pond? The description says it can handle ponds of 2500l with fish, but what amount of fish does this mean? I don't want to end up with my previous scenario where the equipment is working too fast for the health of the pond. I'd really appreciate some advice with all this because because every time I think I'm getting somewhere, I discover that there's something else I have to consider!
