Subject: Weed and Algi by tclancey on 4/4/2005 19:35:43 Hi all. I had problems with blanket week last year, not so bad over winter, but getting bad again now. I've been pulling loads out each weekend. I've tried a couple of treatments, (bio) and they have both started to make a difference, then it takes over again. I know the conditions of the pond are practically ideal for the weed (and fish) and I'm not prepared to spend a fortune getting nowhere! I've heard that Catfish may help by consuming the algi and weed, is this true? Personally I wouldn't have thought Catfish and blanket weed would get on. If anyone knows please let me know.
