I've put all powerheads and filters onto a single inline socket, enabling me to turn them all off when feeding. I've cut the feeding down to half a frozen block two times a day. What was happening before was the food was being dragged into the filters and sitting there rotting for the best part of a week. Half a block is acutally quite a lot of food, before it was just being blasted everywhere, now I can see the fish consuming it all. polywool removed from fluval, probably going to remove the fluval all together. the dirty great black filter box inside the tank acutally is very efficent......if unsightly. cheers for your input here guys. Converting a primarly tropical tank to marine can be tough. Lesson learned.  |
