Subject: Re: should i put my skimmer on a timer?? by voycey on 28/10/2008 18:13:43 -----Dont mean to jump in on this post, but my skimmer in my TL550 tank is on all the time, but i have to empty the collection cup at least twice a day as it just seems to fill up with what looks like weak tea and froth, I have the bubbles bubbling halfway up the inside of the collection cup but water still seems to overflow into the collection part of the collection cup. There is a plastic tube on the side of the skimmer(i dont mean the airline) with a tap on the top does anyone know if this is supposed to be open or closed, any hints ori ideas guys? Thx. ------- I would turn your venturi down / output flow up / input flow down - basically the froth from the skimmer shouldnt immediately be flowing into the collection cup - only when enough froth has built up from underneath it to push it in. Tank water should certainly not be going in there |
