I love lady birds but didn't realise there where so many different ones in the uk until recently

yours looks like a Harlequin Ladybird (f. succinea) same as this one that OH took on our wall

Yes, looks much the same.....funny how I love Ladybirds but get the creeps from other beetles

Possibly because Lady birds are prettier with their colouring's and we don't think of them as a creepy crawly
