EAP! i know what that is. It's a dragonfly larvae! I would take it out your tank as soon as possible as they live under the water in that stage of metamorphis, and sometimes they can live for anything up to four years before turning into dragonflies! and they grow really big and can eat small fish!
Lol, i knwo this because i was an insect geek when i was little and my dad use to take me fishing and ponddipping when i was younger heh!

any idea how it got in to a female guppy ?hubby says he saw another one come out of sunshine spots (thats her name ) should i put her to sleep if they are inside her ?

I've never heard of dragonfly larvae living inside fish before... How big is the 'larvae'? It looks really big on the screen but guppies are tiny.. Is there such things as fish parasites then maybe?
hubby reconed it came out of the guppy realy small kinnda the same size if not smaller than the baby fry when we found it it was 10mm long but its dead now and i also had to put the female guppy down she was infested with what ever they are and was giving birth to them all day she was very distreesed and getting weeker as i looked at her she is now a sleep in a bath of parasetamol and clove oil im just going of to od her on more clove oil and pain killers
thats so sad surely there must be some fish expert on here who knows what it could be? unless somehow the eggs got inside her and hatched inside her, awwwe
