Thanks noodle I love the way one has it's 'arm' round another one's neck We had loads of foxes where we used to live, the house next door was empty for a couple of years so Mama Fox just stayed there. House faced onto a little green and we often saw seven or eight of them hurtling about at night. One of the cubs stayed (think Mama Fox died at some point) and we sometimes saw it sunbathing in the garden and often heard it 'snottling' about (it really did sound like that!). We have some where we live now, saw one last night strolling across the garden.
I saw one having a comedy panic moment the other day; I was cycling up the bridleway coming home from work and another cyclist was coming towards me. Running in front of him was what I thought was his dog, a hairy ginger thing (I wasn't wearing my glasses!) but it galloped towards me and then leaped up a fence, fell off, tried the fence the other side, fell off, stood there wibbling about in a lather of indecision and then legged it past me Highly amusing, the other cyclist said 'he was in the wrong place at the wrong time!'
Aww bless I love the photo, they are soooo cute we had one a few years back in the woodland at the back of us saw it out of the bedroom window which surprised me but not seen any since, would have to sit and wait till it went dark with a night lens to get a photo me thinks
