SEarl: Yeah it certainly looks small but it's damn heavy. I'm not holding much optimism for the little plant surviving, it's all down to luck with this one.

Kevin: It's not sealed, the base of the bayonet fitting was removed.

flappinganimal: In a word, Carefully. Broke through the base of the bayonet fitting and removed the filament, cleaned out the powder which coated the inside of the bulb (diffuser) and then washed it out a few times. The hard bit was trying to convince the plant that it should stand upright.

Goldnugget: I had high hopes of making some clever filter and lighting rig for this one but opted instead for a simple stand. Overcomplicating this one would have spoilt the look of it I think. Might try adding some lighting to the next bulb.
