Adam that looks lovely, well done!
so thats how you do it, my pleco is 2 yars old now and i rarely see him more than a brief flash each day, would be nice to see him active
What a lovely plec.
Yeah ours is about 3+ years old now and he's pretty much the same, you never see him except for when the lights are off. We tried coaxing him out when he was in the smaller tank by making it difficult for him to hide.He can hide behind the bogwood now, but I defininetly think the background is helping to reduce his fear of coming out. He's spent a good portion of the first couple of days on the front. Normally he would dissapear from view anytime anyone came near the tank.
He is our pride and joy :) (though gf would probably say she prefers the angelfish). He's been a stress at times. He's moved house in Bristol (only just down road), then from Bristol to Peterborough for a short stop at my mums and finally to his current location in Ely. Each time catching him has been a real pain, mainly because he's quite scary when he flips his tail to escape! Water goes everywhere and theres usually a thud when he hits the side of the tank. But all that aside he's a lovely fish, and compared to most of the examples I have seen (including those in on display at @Bristol) he's in great condition. The only blemish is a really small hole towards the top of his dorsal fin thats been there forever.Adam
Just needs some more plants adding. Something with quite broad leaves in the back corner to cover the filter uptake and the dodgy silicon job!And then maybe some tall vallis along the wall near the spray bar. Was going to add some more plants where the camomba is, but that seems to be the plecs fave spot, so may have to leave that else he will only partake in his favourite game of "uproot adam's plants" :(
