Great pic I wonder if my chocolate oranda will change colour.

We have another chocolate one (Blinky - he only has one eye!)which hasn't changed colour at all.

He is about two thirds the size of Bunker so I suppose he may change when he gets a bit older.

Makes it a bit of a waste of time buying them for the colour really.

He certainly likes that tomato .

If i remember correctly most breeds of goldfish have 3 pigments in there bodies. Brown, gold and white. As they mature the tend to lose the younger pigmentation of brown and this reveals the gold! Then the same happens to the gold to reveal the white. This isnt always the case though and the fish may stay the same colour for the whole of its happy swimming life
