General Information: A bright yellow disc shaped fish. Generally hardy and easy to keep in a marine aquarium.
Tank Requirements: SALINITY SG: 1.020 - 1.025
Diet Requirements: Dried and frozen herbivore foods that contain marine algae and blue-green algae (spirulina). Supplement with pieces of courgette, broccoli & lettuce and sushi nori (dried seaweed). Feed 3 times a day.
Compatibility: Generally safe and desirable. Likes the small fleshy and filamentous macroalgae. If underfed may nip at stony or soft corals.
Recommendations: Keep only one Yellow Tang unless you have a large tank (135 gallons or more), where a group of Yellow Tangs can be introduced at the same time. May be aggressive towards other Surgeonfish/Tangs.
Common Problems: If not fed the correct diet the yellow colour may fade and they may develop head and lateral line erosion.
