General Information: Aggressive to other inverts. Colours include white, brown, green, orange and purple. Keep with live rock and crustaceans for best environment. Needs high intensity lighting and medium water flow.
Tank Requirements: SALINITY SG: 1.023-1.025
Diet Requirements: Photosynthesises in a sybiotic relationship with internal dwelling algae, hence the need for strong light. Feeds on marine invertebrates, brine shrimp, shrimp/prawn pieces, zooplankton, fish pieces and muscles. Feed twice a week. Supplement iodine.
Compatibility: Will sting other invertebrates so position caefully if you choose to have one. Is a host to some shrimp and Diamond Blennies. Do not keep with Red Leg Hermit Crabs as these are the natural predaor of Condylactis.
Recommendations: Keep these with caution. Wear gloves when servicing the tank as the sting is painful and can produce severe allergic reactions.
Common Problems: Death of other reef inhabitants from Condylactis sting.
