General Information: An anemone with swollen tips - hence it's common name, available in a variety of colours. Acts as host to Clownfish who secrete a mucus which protects them from its sting.
Tank Requirements: SALINITY SG: 1.024-1.026
Diet Requirements: A carnivorous filter feeder. Does not require supplimentary feeding. Photosynthetic.
Compatibility: Reef safe. Ornamental. Harmful to over inquisitive fish. Harmful to some, but not all corals.
Recommendations: Perfect companion for Clown Fish Need strong light, strong indirect water motion.
Common Problems: Harmed by pump intakes or overflow drains. They relocate themselves regularly in a tank until they find a location they are happy with. Sensitive to salinity swings.
