Tank Requirements: Well planted tank with tough leaved plants, roots, sandy substrate, diffused light and some open swimming space.
Diet Requirements: Carnivorous. Cockles, shrimp, crab legs, prawns, snails, bloodworm - will bascially try anything that looks vaguely like food. Needs food with shell on to keep teeth in order.
Compatibility: Poor, one per tank and other tankmates need to be robust species such as Archer Fish and Scats. Groups can be kept with caution provided a very spacious tank is used and a group of four or more are grown together from a young age.
