General Information: A medium sized Cory and a popular choice for community aquaria. These fish are easy to take care of if provided with the correct environment. They like a lot of hiding places. Very similar behaviour to the Bronze Cory. These also appear in longfin and albino forms although they are not common.

Diet Requirements: Omnivorous. Takes pellets, algae wafers and frozen and live food. They also love peas and other cooked vegetables.
Compatibility: Compatible with most similar sized community fish.
Recommendations: Keep in a group of at least 6 or more. Do not use salt.
Common Problems: Barbel damage, preventable by providing a sand substrate
Similar Species: Similar in size and shape to most other Cories.
Sexing: The female is slightly larger and wider.
Breeding: Very easily achieved in a species tank. Provide a varied diet to condition the fish, then do a larger than normal water change.
