General Information: The Chromises are generally bright active fish which should be kept in shoals in the aquarium. In a larger set up a shoal of 6 is striking to watch. A dominant individual may occasionally bicker with the others. Lone Chromis often fail to survive. Often frequent the upper section of the tank.
Tank Requirements: SALINITY SG: 1.020 - 1.025
Diet Requirements: Varied diet including meaty marine foods as well as herbivore flake. Feed 3 times a day.
Compatibility: Excellent reef and community fish.
Recommendations: Keep in a group. Minimum of 3.
Common Problems: One becoming more dominant than the rest although this shouldn't be too much of a problem if the group is large enough.
Similar Species: Often confused with Chromis atripectoralis which is slightly larger when adult and has a small black area above the pectoral fin.
