General Information: A striking, coloured shrimp with red and white banding along the top of the body. Busy bodies in an aquarium.
Tank Requirements: SALINITY SG: 1.023-1.025
Diet Requirements: Scavengers in the aquarium, but mainly carnivorous.
Compatibility: Reef safe and peaceful. All tanks should have cleaner shrimp as part of the "clean up crew". Also clean parasites from other fish.
Recommendations: You can safely have half a dozen shrimp even in a fairly small tank. Shrimp are sensitive to pH change so acclimatise slowly before adding to the new home.
Common Problems: When adding fish to your aquarium check they are safe to live with invertebrates. Sadly there are a number of larger fish who particularly enjoy eating shrimp e.g. Birdmouth Wrasse, Triggerfish, Groupers
