Compatibility: Very peaceful addition to any community, but avoid invertebrate predators.
Recommendations: A well planted mature tank without aggressive bottom feeders.
Common Problems: Without a well planted tank they could starve. They need excellent quality water and as with other invertebrates various medications can kill them (avoid copper and check all medication carefully).
Similar Species:
Sexing: The second row of dots are dashed on the female and the male is generally smaller.
Breeding: Difficult as the adult shrimp cannot tolerate saltwater and the larval stage cannot tolerate freshwater. Research and spare breeding tank required.
