It really is time to dose nitrates

![]() I apologize for the picture quality being even worse than usual. Minor setback with the terrestrial plants basically starving the aquatic ones. I caught it in time so there is only minor damage. I have to either up my water changes or dose more fertilisers or quite possibly both. My nitrates are reading at 5ppm and the fish are their usual trouble making selves. Hopefully I will see a great improvement in plant growth once the macro ferts arrive. I really want to up the planting density and then get a shoal of medium size fish, maybe Celebes Rainbows. (Please speak up if that sounds inappropriate) |

'original aquasoil' capped with 'JBL manado'.
Temp is set to 24*c but with the baking hot weather its getting a bit warmer than that in the afternoons. Went all the way up to 27 yesterday : / Doesn't seem to bother the fish. Just makes them more interested in baby making. |
