Not much to report. Some of my hygrophilia grew all the way to the surface so Ive trimmed and replanted the tops. I got myself a lamp from ikea at the weekend so thats up on top of the lid. The bulb is a 9 wat energy saver 'daylight'(6500k)one. The peace lillies don't really need the extra light, but I have more bog plants on their way. I also was mis-sold a stem plant by my local fish shop. The shop assistant insisted it was 'low light' when but I got home every internet site says its very demanding and needs exceptionally high light levels to survive. As it stood no chance in the tank, I popped it in a pot on top. Its a bit crinkly looking but growing a few new leaves now so fingers crossed it will be a nice addition to the peace lilly jungle.



edit: forgot to say, I have 4 new nerite snails. Still fighting the horrible brown algae but the snails are definitely making a dent. I think I'm starting to get a handle on it.
