Well, it’s been a good week – Fish all seem to be doing well (touch wood) so far. I’m really taken with the Corys – I love watching them play and forage for food. They are so quick when they go for their gulp of air – a dart up and back down – if you blink you’ll miss it! The Tetras are still a bit shy, but are now starting to venture out in to the middle of the tank more – they seem to prefer lights out so I’m really thankful to Violets Blue led suggestion – means I actually get to see them at “dusk” each night. They come right up to the glass then

Other than that, I had a fantastic birthday on Friday. Spent a fair few hours in the Bristol aquarium @Bristol – it’s good but a bit pricey. I think I prefer the Plymouth aquarium, but it was good for a look. It was so nice going around the Amazon section and actually knowing what I was looking at without having to read the info cards first – but I did also pick up some new info too.

Other first – I did my first 25% RO water change since having fish in the tank on Saturday – that was fun. I didn’t get anywhere near as much water on the floor as I expected to and the fish didn’t seem to mind too much. I’m currently using the minerals for Discus to condition the water – any suggestions for brands are welcome (I can’t remember which brand I’m using).

Anyway, I’m sure there will be more to follow, and I will try and get some more pics up soon.
