I am about to start setting up a new tropical tank. I already have a tank but only have general tripical fish, guppies, neons, platties etc. In the new tank I hope to have angel fish, gourami etc. I would like to put a selection of angelfish in the tank ratehr than all one type, is this likely to be a problem, are there any rules for angel fish being added to a tank i.e. any specific order etc any fish I shoudl avoid having in the tank/ Thanks |

Hi,
Just seen this - your best of starting a new thread on the forums for questions. Blogs are more to diarise your progress than hold discusions. I can tell you immediately though that you've made a few mistakes with your current stock choice mixing hard and softwater fish. A second tank may allow you to correct these problems. Angelfish are large tall, somewhat agressive fish so the answer to your question will rely very much on the dimensions and capacity of the new tank. Start a topic in the Tropical forum and we can get some experts over and sort it all out. ![]() |

Hi There,
Thanks for that. I have been keeping tropicals for a couple of years and so have a tank with guppies etc. I bought a second tank and it is in that one I want to have angle fish. Just tired to create a new thread but having prob, dont get the create new option when I go into forums. Am reading the help guide but I dont seem to get the same things as shown in the guide. Had wondered about the PH for the differing fish so obviously that is an issue. Thanks Gordyb |
