Houses my one remaining lake malawi cichlid, a female malawi golden cichlid named Mr Fishy as I didn't know she was a girl at first. Sold to me by my LFS before I learnt to research fish properly before buying, she became so territorial and aggressive that I had to keep her alone. She has lost her female colouring and has become as dark as she can get to male colouring. After searching for research and advice it seems anything I try to keep her with will be dinner so my only option is to keep her as a lone fish unfortunately  . The tank has a large pile of tufa rock with a cave in the middle and coral sand which buffer it up to pH 8.2. Also has some plants to keep her amused (they're currently floating having been ripped up!). |
