Garden Pond - 5M x 2M x 1.5M
---
Kidney shaped garden pond approx 15' x 5', with one area approx 2' deep densly planted with lillies. The second area is clear of vegetation and approx 4' deep. An Oase 5500 Aquamax pump, Biotec 5 filter and 15M Bitron UV lamp circulate the water via a 6' waterfall with approx 1M head. I estimate water circulation is approx 3,000 L/hr. Herons are a problem as we are close to the Thames estuary. The pond has to be permanently netted so growing tall marginals is difficult. There are 6 Koi to about 2' each, 4 or 5 Goldfish and a tench. They love the heavily weeded area. Every few years I have to remove excess goldfish. In 2011 there were over 40 x 1" fry. The Koi also breed but fry rarely survive. I have one 8" fish bred in 2011.

Currently I am enjoying breeding Zebra Danios. I keep the adults in a tank with a divider separating the males/females. The second tank has heat and light, a grid raised 2" off the tank floor and a water depth of about 3" for the breeding fish. There are 3 dense woollen mops hanging from cork floats.
Lounger Master tank - 36 x 15 x 18"
---
My main tank has been used over the years as a community tank and also for breeding Discus, Angelfish and now Zebras. I thought it would look impressive to have a large shoal of 200-300 Zebras in this big tank.
