Hi guys,
Another stupid question I'm afraid: One of my guppies seems to be wearing a white velvet jacket over one side of the front of her body. I have isolated her within the tank, but should I be treating her? Cheers, Anna |

Yes of course, be it saprolegnia and fungi or flexibacter, fluff generally does not go away on its own. Try combo treatments of melafix and pimafix , or a malachite green based med in an aquarium with plenty of oxygenation. If that fails than antibiotic treatments from a vet and furan 2 are your last line defense.

Thanks so much for the detailed advice! I only got her today, I'm fairly sure she's pregnant & I'm very worried. She doesn't seem to be distressed at all & is eating well, but I really don't like the way it looks. I'll go to the LFS tomorrow with your recommendations & see where I get.
Thank you again, have a good weekend! A |
