We got a bit carried away with feeding the fish the mosquito larvae from the pond, but now they are all gone and the fish have no interest in their flake food :(
What should I do? |

Are these your white clouds? How long have they been without food? It may well be that they won't eat your flaky offerings until they are hungry enough.

This happened to my danios.
leave them hungry for a day and they will accept flake food. |

Yeah I'm just worried they'll go for the fry. They did eat alittle flake but they are prowling the tank.

Lol opposite to me, I have only seen flaring, what time in the morning do they spawn? I get up usually between 7 and 9, but haven't seen any spawning so far, is it earlier in the morning?

they were at it yesterday afternoon after a 50% water change with cold water. They use a clump of plants in the corner of the tank. I love them when they flare.

hardly any fry has any chance to survive. Usually the adults will eat the eggs and the fries. They not only do it because they hungry.
And feeding them a lot will only decrease the chance that fry and egg get eaten a little bit cause' rarely fish realize when to stop eating. My danios keep flaring a lot too but I'm glad that no fries survive lol. I don't have enough space for them and all of the 16 danios I have are brothers and sisters |

Also if you want fry, try to get some breeding mop and seperate the eggs right away when you spot them!
