Hi guys
Earlier on I noticed a white film in the corners of my tank. This film was only on the black parts in the corners. At first I thought they were trapped air bubbles, as I have my filter using the sprinkler attachment. After attempting to remove the "bubbles" with my algae scraper, it came off in thin wafers that looked almost like paper or thin cotton. I assume this is some kind of algae or fungus. The question is, is it harmful in any way? Scraping it off now and then wont be a chore, though it does enjoy getting caught up in my fake plants! :( |

It sounds like it's just an overgrowth of bacterial biofilm. It should settle down once the tank is cycled

Good to know! Odd how it only formed on the black parts in the corners. You would think it would grow all over.
