Thank you :)

I think I'd go with the orca, simply because so many people use it there is lots of user based support available to cover any problems you might have.

evening,

I am far from an expert but i'll put my oar in. I have been running a orca nano TL450 for about 18 months now, generally it has done well although this far in i am starting to have problems with the equipment, the uv is full of crud and will need changing soon as it is a sealed unit and i can't get in there to clean it, the skimmer has given me nothing but grief and needed constant adjustment to keep it running, especially where the uv unit joins the pump.
A recent buy from ebay of the WG-308 skimmer seems to have rectified the problem now.
I am also still getting high nitrate levels which i think is down to the filter media which is supplied and those bio-balls.
I would recommend getting one but would advise some early modifications.

Like EagleC say a lot on here have an orca 450l which is a good start for begginer. I've one and it has been going for 8 months now. Like monkey_dog say best to modify some thing earlier which luckily I and some of the other did but good to know monkey_dog has his for quite some time. There are many post you could read up in the marine nano section to help also the people here will be glad to help and advise.

Tony

Don't get me wrong, i'd definately buy one again, it also seems that replacement parts are now available which were hard to come by when the tanks were first out. They also seem to be fairly cheap. I saw a new UV unit for £7.50 ish, if you replace that once a year to so its not the end of the world.

Hey Smartony, what do you mean you thrashed Sunderland? Never mind WOO HOO, you deserted Newcastle for London so now you're half a Geordie and half a cockney, at least I'm a full mackem
Mind you Sunderland did play crap didn't they, newcastle could've won even if they were blindfolded.
