Strange white pimple |

Hi
My black moor Magoo has developed a circular white spot at the very bottom of her one good eye. It doesn't look fluffy like fungus, nor is it ich as it is just the one spot and is too big for ich spots. If it was on my face I'd want to squeeze it if that makes sense, it looks like a whitehead pimple. About 1mm diameter. Looks like its on the eyeball rather than the skin. Any thoughts? Water params good, ammonia 0, nitrite 0, nitrate 30. Treating with melafix as a precaution but no change. Doesn't seem to be bothering her at all. Shall I just leave it and see what happens? |

 Any other symptoms at all, any signs of fluff or anything, no matter how minor, anywhere else? |

No, nothing else at all, swimming fine, feeding fine, no other marks anywhere. Devon is absolutely fine too. I'll try for a pic but it won't be easy, my camera is a bit pants at the best of times. |

Sounds a bit odd, any sort of pic would help though so don't worry if it's not David Bailey standard

If you type in 'blackmoor white pimple' on google and go look at images/related threads on other sites, you'll see this has cropped quite a lot before. Many saying it looks like a pimple that needs to be squeezed.
Wen growth in oranda's can certainly appear as white pimples (often with stringy filaments). Obviously that won't affect a BM, but general cysts of some kind are usually associated. Some pop and never come back, some shrink. We've had a couple of people here in the past report this but TBH and as far as I know, I don't think we ever got to the bottom of it or the OP's never returned after posting  Certainly not terminal though or infectious as far as I know.The fact it seems to be on his eye is a new one though. Pics would be uber helpful for this one. |

Yes a couple of the google pics do look exactly like what Magoo has got. I think your right and its a cyst. I'll try and get a pic, but don't hold your breath, I struggle to get normal photos of the fish never mind a close up of the eye Thanks for the advice so far everyone. |
