What do you guys make of this?: Celebes rainbow eggs

Thinking it might be a cheap but entertaining project. I know that these fish are fussy about water conditions but I have my eye on a small shoal for my main tank anyway.

If I do go for it they would be living in a staples box of some description and probably using a power filter covered in tights.

There is only one set left.
£15? How much would the adults cost?
They do look lovely though!

About £4-5 each but thats much less risk. TBH I loved having the paradise fish fry and it would be nice to watch them grow. Just not sure if I'm capable of raising such delicate fish.

you do realise, once you start breeding fish, it grips you worse than fish keeping its self,
Fish lady will agree i think

oh and dont forget about your planted tanks either, i think you have quite a gift there

ps i am planning a riparium for next year, if i can get the wife to agree so that will be what 5 tanks again ;-o

Aww thanks, I am never happy with them myself.

Tbh I'm suprised my husband went for this, I don't think he realises how many months it would take to raise the fry to be big enough for the main tank.

Yes and no. Most of the more reputable sites say its a myth, and they are best in hard but fresh water. There's a few places in central London that sell them but they don't seem very popular.
