I think I need to borrow your platypus Aunt Jemima! Some have hatched I've seen three so far (at the same time). Rocket's showing an unhealthy interest in the tangle of plants though Howie swam within millimetres of one and didn't notice, mind you, I'm not sure he'd realise if they formation swam past him trailing algae banners and humming the Dam Busters theme!

Much as I'm not sure I want more fish I might see if the lfs has some more hornwort tomorrow, if they can evade mum and dad ...

Don't worry Cathie, I've been 'at the foot of our stairs' for some time now

I was starting to wonder if Howie was 'past it', he's 12, and I have no idea at what point goldies stop bothering about all that and settle for a nice cocoa instead But it seems a younger woman is having an effect on the old fella!

You lot are the devil at my shoulder! Dilys and Chips would hardly pose a threat ... they don't pose much of a threat to their pellets let alone a moving target ... hmmm ...

Well I for one really hope they make it Everybody loves Howie so I'msure you'd have no problem finding homes if necessary. I would rush out and get another tank for the privalidge .

I'm so weak, I've caved in to peer pressure There's me being all sensible about things and now I've spent the evening going through two filters with a torch and hoicking 10 fry out and into the special needs ward with Chips and Dilys. I think there might be one in the tank still, if there is then with its mother's brains and its father's brawn it's got a good chance Unless it's got its father's brains, in which case ...

The filter dwellers have got some manky plants from Howie's tank (for the aufwuchs), lots of algae in the special needs ward and whatever food C&D don't eat. Plus a bit of fry flake. They should be ok.

If all 10 make it then there's someone in the Black Country going to be needing a big tank And I'm more than happy to ship to Ireland too!

They've been at it again!!! They're looking so flippin' pleased with themselves in their new found romance it's untrue Sashaying about the place looking all smug and loved up

Definitely still got three from the last time, not sure about the others. I put a load of plants in the tank so they could be loitering in there, or maybe they didn't all make it, or maybe Dilys isn't as bad a swimmer as I thought! She's pretty much glued to the bottom nowadays but she can get a bit of lift if she tries, I'm sure they'd have managed to see her coming though, she's about as stealthy as a steam train
