Well.... the cycle completed today! Nitrites were zero when I got in from work - couldn't quite belive it so tested again to be sure. Tank all planted up ready to go shopping for some new fishy friends at the weekend. Here are a few pics....

Thanks for all your help with getting me through the cycle.

Kelly

edit: having a bit of a mare loading photos....

Kelly your set up is fab and the planting is great. What are the small grass-like clumps at the front called?

Ta very much! Am definitely going for tetras of some sort, given that they are suited to my water conditions. My LFS has a really good choice, so will see what's on offer at the weekend. Have been doing a lot of swatting up. Should be OK to add 5/6 straight away? Can't wait to see them in it and for all the plants to fill out.

And here are my new friends...... 6 ornate tetras. Am thrilled to bits, they look so at home already. Could have bought a million fish today - so much to choose from. They seem to stay well within the bottom half of the tank, so will need something lovely for the top half when the time comes.

Had my eye on some honey gouramis and sparkling gouramis today but think my water may be a little soft..... Otos for the bottom.... million more tetras.... There were some beautifulk rainbowfish too but I know my tank isn't big enough.

edit: photos have disappeared again, will load them separately
