I'm going to try and get some tonight - I tried yesterday but all the fish are just lurking in the plants. Will try the feed-them-photograph-them trick I think!

Good luck with that - if they are as quick and photo shy as their cardinal cousins, I know it's not easy. :-s

I took about 30 when I needed to post pics of mine, most were of a tail, plant or the wrong fish

Good look Suzy

ARRGGHHHH!!!!

Now I think I have a trace of ammonia. Just tested the water again (I'm getting obsessed) and it looks like I have 0.25 ammonia. Nitrite 0 and Nitrate 20.

AND the pH has risen to around 7.6 (!!!) so I've taken out one of the bags of coral sand. I don't understand how two bags had no effect, but a third bag caused pH to rise from 6 to 7.6 over a couple of days...

Can anyone advise: now that I have removed one bag, will the pH fall again?Or do I need to do a water change? But I'm worried about shocking them. HELP!

Trying to take pictures now but I'm so stressed out I can't concentrate

P.S. Can't get pictures - the white patches just don't come out and the fish are hiding.

They're definitely there though. Also, it looks like dark marks are appearing on the flanks of some, and in addition there are lot of fish with very red looking gills.

No idea what to do :(

Oh I'm so sorry DS

Been following this. Got to be honest but you may have a hard decision to make You will know when the time is right if meds continue to fail. I tried 4 different meds with my round worm explosion on the cardinals and all to no avail. Distressing, so a big hug.

OH has been saying this too, and tbh I suspected that it might be the case. But I keep thinking 'maybe they'll be better tomorrow'. And then I don't know which fish to let go and which to keep in case they recover.

If it's NTD then there's no chance of recover though, in which case should I let them all go? I'll never know if it's real NTD though! Arrrghghghgh!
