please forgive me for being stupid but on my profile i need to add the tap water ph ect,ect... i have a test water kit for the fish tanks so do i use that kit to test? and is that before i use the tap safe ? sorry to be so simple lol thankyou xx

Hi
Yes use your test kit, but for pH testing of tap water it's best to run a cup of water and let it stand for 24 hours before testing. This is because the water companies use adjusters that dissipate over 24 hours so you need to wait to you get a true reading. Don't use any water conditioner on the water you're testing.
