Survivor of the first brood here during feeding - sorry for the yellow water but I've got meds in the tank
I keep trying to get a picture of her with her fins up, but she won't oblige me

Weetinyfish has been renamed Seren. He's lost his irridescence now, as far as I can see, so I was wrong and it's a male! He's a star of a fish and still gets on with everyone - even when one of the Danio's gives him a nudge, to see if it's another Danio, he only has a play around with it and neither end up hurt or scared
A couple of weeks ago I transfered two of the second brood into the Danio tank; I'd thought they'd both died but one has just re-appeared, and it's a female so I've got to keep an eye on them as I certainly don't want a bonded pair!

The second brood is doing well, they have developed their stripes now and live independently. I see the odd scuffle, but nothing serious yet.

Mum has been rehomed I just couldn't get through to her, it's a shame as she was so pretty but I just never saw her. Dad sulked for a day, but has got over it and has started displaying for a new mate (I think).

I'm off work today so will try and get some new photos loaded up

Aww i just love this thread. Seren seems to have a lovely nature, its nice to hear about fish getting on with each other and playing nicely

I spoke too soon She/He attacked my goldfish, so went back into my Convict tank with her Dad

Didn't seem to do any damage, but the intent very much seemed to be there

Another update.

I had to move the cabinet that the tank is one, which meant taking most of the water out, so I took the opportunity to move the fry out into my Q tank. Two of them outwitted me and are still in with Seren and his Dad.
The reason that I moved them was because when they were chasing each other, they were annoying their Dad and Seren who are both large enough to kill them if provoked.

Seren is doing well, and has quickly learnt that her Dad is a wimp - he won't come out from cover if I'm around so he/she takes the opportunity to tease him!

The small guy left in with my Oranda and Danios is growing in confidence now that Seren has been moved, so hopefully I'll get another great character

I decided to keep Seren - his dad has gone to a LFS along with a handful of the second brood, I now have 4 left from from that brood.
Seren now lives with my Danios, and the remainder of the second brood are in with my goldfish (I was naughty and got a new friend for my Oranda after I moved the Danios out).

Anyway, here's Seren now (please excuse the garish gravel )
