My 4 year old tank has become overgrown with Caulerpa which I put in initially to overcome a nuisance Algae problem by starving it of nutrients. I perform a 10% water change every week adn a 20% water change every other week and I pull as much of the Caulerpa out as I can but it this just seems to encourage it to grow. It has now started to grow over my soft corals causing them to close up. I am thinking about setting up a sump tank with Miracle Mud and encouraging the Caulerpa to grow there rather than my main tank. Does anyone have any experience with doing this. Will this rid my main tank of the Algae?

depend on the size of the sump and how many chambers, a combo if you have room, but miracle mud and caluerpa would be my main choice, as you will have sand and rock in the main tank.

hi, i have been running my first marine setup for about 2 months now with ex filter, powerheads and live rock. but have been looking into sumps, has anyone got any views or comments on this all in one sump/skimmer/filter thingy? http://www.1st4aquatics.com/marisys-240-3345-p.asp
