Hello again!

Added some plants about 5 or 6 weeks ago from plants alive, thoroughly washed them (or so i thought!). A couple of weeks later i noticed a couple of tiny snails, fished them out and checked for more and didn't find any.
However i turned on the light this morning and my tank is over-run with tiny snails, there is at least 40 that i can see, they seem to have appeared from nowhere overnight!

What is the best way to get rid of them without stressing out my fish?

Thanks in advance!!

Covert operations are called for - a bit of lettuce leaf weighted down and left overnight, then early in the morning you should be able to remove the leaf and hopefully quite a few snails Otherwise it's down to manual removal and squishing, keep an eye out for eggs as well and remove any before they get a chance to hatch.

I've just got rid of loads of baby snails by spearing cuecumber on a dinner knife and leaving it the tank for a while until its covered in snails. They seem to like it and then you can just lift the knife out. However, the tank water did go a bit cloudy for a day so I'm not sure if this was the cuecumber or other addatives I put in that day.

Assassin snails!!
I had the same problem as you, planted my tank,a week later, over run with snails, even in the spray bar!

Got 5 assassin snails from Ebay, now not a snail to be seen!!

Took a while, but gradually the snails dissapeared,I now have a thriving community of assassin snails.
