has anyone got any of these? i think i have one which i bought as a 'ghost carp', but its very different from a ordinary ghost carp as its black and white! with the odd orange or red patch. the problem is i cant find much information on them, so is it likly to be of a koi variety? and if so does it differ from any other koi in terms of growth speed and its maximum size? im quite surpriced to have it only a year and its grown about 3/4x the size i got it.
Cheers
Arran.

hi arran
no worries.I have had koi for a few years now and its only recently that i have bothered to read up about them after buying 4 ogons 2 yamabuki yellows and the others i am yet to find out what type they are. Two fish i have were originally purchased as ghost koi by a friend of mine but turned out to be blue orfes. Its interesting that kois were originally farmed by japanese for food and over many years turned into prized exhibits.Hope you find a bit more about ghost koi but i will check about as its got me curious too!!Ogons and orfes sounds like creatures from the lord of the rings!!
cheers

Thats an interesting article, I think two of my koi are gold ghosts , they look like the ones in the picture . They are very lively and seem to be growing faster than the other koi purchased at the same time and the same size .Thanks for that
